DEIRDRE MORGAN

Deirdre morgan is a mixed media artist based in Cork city.

She studied fine art painting at the Crawford College of Art and Design 1994 - 1997

Her work fuses traditional painting approaches with collage mostly working with acrylics and paper.

Her work is semi representational offering a feeling or experience of a place or time. She offers a uniquely emotive and visceral response to the Irish landscape . She is equally influenced by geopolitics and folklore as much as the changing of the  seasons .

She works from her home studio in Cork. Deirdre also facilitates workshops across the art and design spectrum, and has been working in art education for the past twenty years.

She has exhibited locally and has work in many private collections.
