SENSING PLACE

Sensing Place explores our relationship with place and our connection to the land on which we live.  The show features six artists who evoke this relationship through depictions of landscape, nature, and familiar scenes and motifs from the world around them.  The artists showcase a range of media and approaches.  Some works are directly observational while others are more experimental and evocative.  There are psychological responses to landscape which focus on feeling and memory, as well as images that rely on poetic symbolism.  Other artworks incorporate materials from the land itself.  Every artwork presents an entirely personal connection to the land, and they are woven here together in an outstanding collection showcasing some of our finest local artists.

This exhibition includes work by Catherine Duggan, John Corkery, Keith O’Brien, Tom Herdman, Sinead Barrett, and Rosie O’Regan.
