GILL GOOD

Visualisation of images based on Music, Text or Poetry continues to inform my practise. I like to create a series, watching the concept change and grow with each variation informing the next.

I express my emotional connection to the subject through the language of symbolism and colour.

I have recently become interested in the work of Donegal Poet Annmarie Ni Churreain. Her book Bloodroot , ‘ bears witness to the lived experience of women’ Dr Sinead Kennedy.  The resultant figurative work is drawing my imagination back to old symbolism, and forgotten concepts.
